One person was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 North this morning, south of Orillia.

OPP officials said the injured person was the lone occupant of their vehicle. No one from the second vehicle needed to be transported to hospital.

“One vehicle struck a hydro pole, and (the occupant) was subsequently transported to the local hospital,” said Orillia OPP Const. Brett Boniface.

The crash was reported at 11:15 a.m. on May 27. Boniface said the northbound off-ramp to Line 14 is currently blocked.

“Hydro is on scene repairing the pole currently, along with police and tow operators to remove the vehicles,” he said.
